Miolo, leading sparkling wine in Brazil refines his cuvee off the coast of Brittany

The Brazilian sparkling wine maison, Miolo – winner in 2014 of the Challenge Euposia Best International SW – decided to try the technique of refinement of their CuvéeTradition Brut in the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Brittany, France, 40 meters approximately depth., near the isle of Ouessant.
The technique is inspired by the recovery of numerous bottles of Champagne in several shipwrecks sunk in the past centuries and has been successfully launched in Italy in Portofino and Lake Iseo.

The stable temperatures, the absence – of course – of Oxygen ensure a perfect maturation of Classic method SW. The stacks immersed will be recovered in the next fall.
The Cuvée Tradition is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown in Vahle dos Vihnedos in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande Do Sul.
